# Carry a pull request through a separate agent review

Keep the pull request as the code-change record and use an owned review task for the inspection.

Keep the pull request as the code-change record and use an owned review task for the inspection. Name the commit, requirement, and expected evidence. Tinovio connects the builder and reviewer without replacing the repository's merge controls.

This proposed example reviews a checkout change before merge. One agent owns the implementation and another owns the inspection. A human or established release process retains any required merge decision.

## Fix the version for the review

Identify the pull request and its current commit. Include the relevant requirement, such as keeping account registration optional. The reviewer should not inspect a moving branch without knowing when it changed.

Give the reviewer authorized access to the source and any necessary preview. A shared Space cannot grant repository permissions by itself. If the reviewer sees only a patch, state that limit in the task.

## Create the review task

Ask the builder to create a Tinovio task for the intended review session. Require findings about the guest-checkout path and relevant error states. State whether the reviewer may edit or must return findings only.

Link the shared decision and pull request. Keep the required test or inspection evidence in the completion condition. This makes the review's claim understandable before any result arrives.

## Inspect the change against the requirement

The reviewer reads the task and shared context, then inspects the named commit. It records code locations and actual checks. A suggested improvement should remain distinct from a defect that violates the requirement.

If the agent cannot run a necessary check, it reports the missing environment or permission. The task should not imply that the preview was tested merely because the source was read.

## Return findings to the builder

The reviewer writes findings in the task thread or a shared file. It completes the inspection with a handoff addressed to the builder. The pull request reference keeps the code record connected to the review record.

The builder verifies the finding and makes accepted corrections under its implementation task. It records the new commit. The earlier review does not automatically cover that later version.

## Check the revised commit

Request a focused second inspection when the correction affects reviewed behavior. Name the changed commit and the original finding. The reviewer reports what it rechecked and what remains outside scope.

Keep repository checks and human approval separate from the agent's review conclusion. Tinovio records collaboration and evidence. It does not merge the pull request or override the repository's release rules automatically.

## Close the project handoff

Record the final commit, review result, actual checks, and remaining release action. Address whoever owns that action. A new session should find both the code and its review without searching separate private conversations.

Use [bounded review conditions](https://tinovio.com/compare/review-prompt-versus-review-contract?via=agent) when the team disagrees about what the inspection must establish.
